After almost 8 years of simply working, I have decided to take the plunge into working at what I love; making pretty, shiny things out of silver and stones! I live just west of Toronto with my brilliant illustrator husband and our two children-in-fur, making fine silver jewelry in my tiny, cosy studio. Extensive studies in fine arts and design have given me the smarts and skills to work in a wide variety of media, and while jewelry design is my primary preoccupation, graphic design, oil painting and watercolor illustration remain constant flirts. I am constantly 'lit up' by nature, be it from a weekend spent camping, or simply watching the birds and the ditch grasses on my drive to my part-time job, and hiking with my husband is a favorite pastime. My time spent outdoors inevitably inspires more jewelry, more paintings, and much more day-dreaming. Being able to make pretty, shiny things is a dream come true, and I have my husband to thank, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting me in living this crazy cool dream (and for being the best part of it.) When we aren't working on our current creative endeavors, we earnestly practice our cosy lessons with our two cats, drink coffee, dream of Newfoundland, and read comics with impunity.
